Abstract

This paper describes a Design Model to model production machines. This model is used to develop a computer-tool to support the designer in the conceptual stage of the design process. The model uses several views on the conceptual design of the machine. The basis-views are the Function-, Solution-, and State-View. Each view has its own specific product structure
